A joint investment platform between Azerbaijan and the United States is being proposed for the co-financing of strategic projects in the region, said Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at a special meeting dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev’s Washington visit held at the Cabinet of Ministers, APA-Economics reports.
“We will work together with the U.S. Export-Import Bank (US EXIM Bank) in this direction. As part of the working visit of the Head of State to the United States, in a meeting held together with the President of SOCAR, the President and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of US EXIM Bank, productive discussions were held about the achievements in economic development and diversification in Azerbaijan, as well as new prospects opened for the implementation of large investment projects. US EXIM Bank will provide instruments to financially support Azerbaijan’s projects in the energy and green transition, transit logistics, and innovation sectors,” the minister added.
