Inflation of products imported to Azerbaijan exceeds 17%

In January-September of 2023, the prices of products imported to Azerbaijan increased by 17.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

In January-September of 2023, the prices of exported products decreased by 28.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Considering the corresponding period of 2022, the price indexes of imported products had increased by 22.1% compared to the previous year, and the price indexes of exported products had increased by 74.5%.

Note that the largest price increase in imported products was in footwear, headwear (58% increase), natural fur (64.4% increase), furniture (50.4% increase), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (19.5% increase), pharmaceutical products (20.6% increase) and other products.

The largest price decrease in exported products was in mineral fuel, oil (31% decrease), firewood and charcoal (9% decrease), toys and their parts (12% decrease) and other products.
