Last year, Georgia's trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 1.36 billion USD, APA's local bureau reports, citing the preliminary report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia for 2025.

The volume of trade transactions increased by 3.82% compared to the previous year.

In the reporting year, Azerbaijan ranked seventh among the main trade partners of the neighboring country, after Türkiye, the USA, Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan and Germany, with a share of 5.3% in Georgia's total trade turnover.

Georgia exported products worth 697.2 million USD to Azerbaijan, which is 3.8% less than the previous year. Azerbaijan ranked fourth among the main export partners of the neighboring country, after Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia, with a share of 9.6% in Georgia's exports.

The value of products imported by Georgia from Azerbaijan increased by 13.2% compared to 2024 and amounted to 661 million USD. Azerbaijan, with a share of 3.6%, was the sixth main import partner of the neighboring country, after Türkiye, the USA, China, Russia and Germany.

In 2025, Georgia's foreign trade turnover amounted to 25.8 billion USD, of which 7.29 billion USD were exported from the neighboring country, and 18.5 billion USD were imported products.

It should be noted that compared to 2024, Azerbaijan lost its positions in Georgia's foreign trade and exports last year. Thus, in that year, Azerbaijan was the sixth main trade partner of the neighboring country, and the third main export partner after Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. In the last two years, Azerbaijan has maintained its position among Georgia's import partners (sixth place).
