The investment partnership between Azerbaijan and Russia is bilateral in nature, said Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, at a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that the volume of Azerbaijan’s direct investments in Russia’s economy has reached 1.2 billion US dollars:
“A significant portion of these investments is concentrated in the tourism and recreation sector. Within this framework, a number of large projects have been implemented to establish modern sanatorium and resort facilities. Among such projects are those carried out in the cities of Yessentuki, Kislovodsk, and Zheleznovodsk. These have become part of the broad investment participation of Azerbaijani capital in Russia’s resort regions. Azerbaijani capital is also represented in the processing industry, including the food industry, in the Krasnodar region.”
