"The liberated territories of Karabakh and East Zangezur offer broad opportunities for cooperation across various sectors and have great potential for the implementation of joint investment projects," said Samad Bashirli, Deputy Minister of Economy at the 2nd Azerbaijan–Türkiye Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that upgrading infrastructure and building new capacities to realize the green energy potential of Karabakh, East Zangezur, and Nakhchivan are among Azerbaijan’s key priorities. In this process, the participation of Turkish businesses is particularly noteworthy. The implementation of a project for the restoration and long-term operation of four small hydropower plants in the Kalbajar and Lachin districts represents a model example of cooperation in terms of both energy development and sustainability.
