Last month, investments amounting to AZN 787 million were invested in fixed capital in Azerbaijan, which is 50% less compared to the same period of the previous year, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
During the period, investments directed towards the oil and gas sector decreased by 40.5%, while investments in the non-oil and gas sector decreased by 54.8%.
Of the investments used, AZN 504.8 million (64.1%) were allocated to production sectors, AZN 109.8 million (14%) to service sectors, and AZN172.4 million (21.9%) to the construction of residential buildings.
Out of the investments directed towards fixed capital, AZN 473.8 million (60.2%) were domestic investments. A total of AZN 566 million (71.9%) of the investments were specifically spent on construction and installation works.
