In 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1200 kg of sturgeon caviar worth of USD 1 million 242.5 thousand, APA-Economics reports.
According to APA's calculations based on the State Statistics Committee's report, compared to the same period last year, the volume of exported caviar increased by 85%, or 550 kg, and its value rose by 2.1 times, or USD 655.3 thousand.
During the reporting period, the average export price of 1 kg of black caviar increased by 15% compared to the corresponding period in 2023, reaching AZN 1760.
Note that black caviar was mainly exported to the United Arab Emirates (540 kg), the United States (380 kg), Kazakhstan (40 kg), the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China (30 kg), Singapore (20 kg), Japan (20 kg), Germany (20 kg), and Saudi Arabia (10 kg). During the reporting period, this product was sold to the United Arab Emirates for AZN 1712, to the United States for AZN 1347, to Kazakhstan for AZN 3400, to Saudi Arabia for AZN 3855, to Singapore for AZN 3423, to Japan for AZN 1100, and to Germany for AZN 2190.
Recall that during this period, Azerbaijan imported 7160 kg of black caviar worth of USD 2 million 148.2 thousand from China. The import price of this product was AZN 510.
