Azerbaijan's non-oil-gas exports rose last year

Last year, Azerbaijan's non-oil-gas exports increased by 0.3% compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 3.4 billion USD. In January-December 2024, food products exports rose by 11.3%, amounting to 1.03 billion USD, APA-Economics reports citing the "Export Review" from the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

According to the data, in the 12 months of 2024, the following products saw increases in exports: sugar and confectionery products made from sugar rose by 62.4%, totaling 38.5 million USD; cotton fiber increased by 45.2%, amounting to 178.2 million USD; vegetable oils and fats rose by 32.8%, reaching 28.9 million USD; precious metals increased by 29.2%, totaling 215.3 million USD; chemical industry products rose by 18.3%, reaching 293.7 million USD; alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 14.3%, amounting to 68.8 million USD; tea rose by 1.6%, totaling 6 million USD; ferrous metals increased by 1.9%, reaching 48.2 million USD; and aluminum and products made from aluminum rose by 1%, totaling 197.2 million USD.

In January-December 2024, exports of agricultural products increased by 2.8%, amounting to 789.4 million USD, while exports of agro-industrial products rose by 57.3%, totaling 316.1 million USD. In total, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 14.1%, amounting to 1.11 billion USD.
