Azerbaijani businessman meets AfCFTA Secretary General-PHOTO

Businessman Tahir Gozel holds meetings with Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), on April 7 and 9, APA reports,

On April 7, Gozel traveled to Abu Dhabi at the invitation of Mene to speak at the AIM Congress and participated in a panel discussion titled "Strategic Investments in Digital Public Infrastructure- Advancing Regional Economic Integration and Cross-Border FDI in Africa." During the panel, Gozel emphasized the critical role of strategic partnerships in unlocking the potential of digital public infrastructure (DPI) and shares Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote inclusive development through technology-based solutions.

During the meeting with Mene, Tahir Gozel expressed readiness to introduce new services from ASAN Service, Azercosmos, and Proxima Tech Solutions, a company founded by him, to African countries, aiming for expanded partnerships in this area. Mene, pleased with the discussions about the projects implemented by ASAN Service and Azercosmos in Africa, reiterated his respect for Azerbaijan and expresses openness to new partnerships.

It is noteworthy that the AIM Congress is one of the leading global investment platforms that brings together international leaders, policymakers, and innovative entrepreneurs to shape the future of global investment.
