Last year, the volume of Azerbaijan’s investments in the Georgian economy amounted to $214.4 million, APA’s local bureau reports.
This was stated in the National Statistics Office of Georgia’s revised report on foreign direct investment for 2025.
Azerbaijan was Georgia’s second-largest investor country in terms of investment volume. Azerbaijan’s share in total foreign investment in the neighboring country’s economy amounted to 11.3%.
During the reporting year, Georgia attracted a total of $1.9 billion in foreign investment, which was 19.3% more compared to 2024 and 12.5% higher than the preliminary figure for 2025. The United Kingdom was the neighboring country’s largest investor with $426.6 million, while Türkiye ranked third with $202.4 million.
In 2025, the sectors attracting the most investment were financial and insurance activities, real estate, trade, manufacturing, transportation, information and communication, energy, water supply, professional, scientific and technical activities, arts, entertainment and recreation.
