This year, we are preparing for the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Supreme Interstate Council, Uzbek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov told APA.
According to him, a new Business Council will be established to strengthen relations between businessmen of both countries.
The ambassador said that the Business Council will create an opportunity to establish direct contacts between Azerbaijani and Uzbek entrepreneurs and quickly resolve issues. The Business Council will operate permanently.
The diplomat noted that the council, which will operate with the participation of chambers of commerce and industry, various business associations, will be an important step to further revitalize the economies of both countries and promote new projects.
Bahrom Ashrafkhanov stressed the importance of forming a 10 billion USD investment package between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the future and bringing the trade turnover to 1 billion USD: "In addition to establishing strong business relations between two countries, entrepreneurs on both sides will be ensured to operate faster and more effectively."
