Azerbaijan to issue digital signature to foreigners living in the country

In the near future, foreigners living legally in Azerbaijan will be able to have a SIMA digital signature through a migration card. At the next stage, legal entities and state institutions will also be able to obtain the SIMA digital signature. The process of digitalization of electronic services of several state institutions with SIMA Signature is already nearing completion, AzInTelecom told APA-Economics.

The Company noted that although obtaining a SIMA Signature is free of charge for citizens, an individual entrepreneur can choose monthly, one-year, and three-year subscription rates to use the signature certificate: "The tariff of the monthly subscription plan is 2.4 AZN, annually 25 AZN and 55 AZN for three years determined".

"Costs for the companies are determined on the basis of mutual agreement depending on the type of service received, no other additional costs are provided," reads the information.
