Azerbaijan to establish state support mechanism for authorized economic operators by 2028

A state support mechanism for authorized economic operator (AEO) status will be established in Azerbaijan during 2026–2028, APA-Economics reports.

This measure is reflected in the action plan of the “Reliable Partnership Concept” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, the regulatory and legal framework will be improved in this area, taking into account international experience.

As a result, individuals who obtain authorized economic operator status will be given priority in the provision of services by government bodies.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been designated as the main executing authority for the formation of this mechanism, while the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Finance, the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, and other relevant state institutions have been identified as co-executors.
