The next online meeting of the “Road Transport” Technical Committee on standardization (AZSTAND/TK 19), established by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, has been held, AZSTAND told APA-Economics.
During the meeting, draft standards developed in accordance with the Technical Committee’s 2025 Action Plan were discussed, including AZS ECE 21 “Uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard to their interior fittings,” AZS ECE 16 "Safety-belts, restraint systems, child restraint systems and ISOFIX child restraint systems for occupants of power-driven vehicles," AZS ECE 51 “Uniform provisions concerning the approval of motor vehicles having at least four wheels with regard to their noise emissions,” and AZS ECE 85 “Uniform provisions concerning the approval of internal combustion engines or electric drive trains intended for the propulsion of motor vehicles of categories M and N with regard to the measurement of the net power and the maximum 30 minutes power of electric drive trains.” A decision was made to submit the said standards to AZSTAND for adoption.
At the end of the meeting, a periodic review of the state standard AZS 122 “Safety Glass for Land Vehicles. General Technical Specifications” was conducted by AZSTAND/TK 19.
