The Azerbaijan Standardization Institute has adopted the new state standard AZS 962:2024, titled Green Business Management Systems, APA-Economics reports.
The new state standard aims to minimize the negative environmental impacts of enterprises and organizations, promote efficient resource use, and incorporate features of ecological responsibility.
Additionally, the relevant standard will encourage the application of key principles in organizations' management systems, such as green financial management, sustainable supply chains, ecological sustainability, and ecological innovations.
This state standard has been discussed within the framework of the standard project presented by the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) in the Technical Committees (AZSTAND/TK 09) on "Conformity Assessment" (AZSTAND/TK 08) and "Ecology". A decision was made based on general agreement, and it has been submitted to the Institute for approval.
