The procedure for paying remuneration to inventors is being determined, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment proposed to the Law “On Patents,” which was put up for discussion at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, a legal framework is being established to ensure the payment of fair remuneration to an author who creates an invention, utility model, or industrial design based on an employer’s official assignment.
Thus, the author of an invention will be able to receive at least 50 percent of the remaining funds as remuneration after deducting the expenses incurred by the employer for obtaining and maintaining the patent up to the date when income is generated from the patent.
The draft was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
