Azerbaijan sets new requirements for organizing int

Azerbaijan defined new requirements for the organizing of international road transport, it was reflected in the proposed amendment to the law "On automobile transport", which was put to the discussion at a meeting of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) held on June 16, APA reports.

According to the draft law, the starting, intermediate, and final destination of international regular routes located in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan should be only a bus terminal (bus station).

Permit forms will be issued to operators to carry out international transportation to foreign countries by exchanging quotas in accordance with bilateral international agreements and intergovernmental agreements on international road transport, to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party, and obtaining permits from the International Transport Forum in accordance with multilateral agreements.

If the law is adopted, it will enter into force on October 1, 2023.

The draft law was put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.
