As of October 1, 2025, according to preliminary data, the number of economically active population was 5,375.8 thousand people, of whom 5,096.5 thousand were employed, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
It was noted that as of September 1 of the current year, the number of wage-employed workers was 1,764.9 thousand people, including 855.3 thousand in the public sector of the economy and 909.6 thousand in the non-public sector. In the oil and gas sector of the economy, 31.2 thousand people were employed, while in the non-oil and gas sector, the number was 1,733.7 thousand.
