In the city of Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, the next round of negotiations was held on the draft “Convention between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the elimination of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and property,” APA-Economics reports, citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.
According to the information, experts from the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy and an authorized representative of the Ministry of Finance participated in the negotiations on behalf of Azerbaijan, while authorized persons from the Ministry of Finance participated on behalf of Kazakhstan.
As a result of the discussions, agreement was reached on most of the provisions of the draft Convention related to taxation. The discussions took place in a spirit of mutual understanding, and both parties agreed to intensify efforts to quickly resolve the remaining outstanding articles.
During the visit, an exchange of views was also held with authorized persons from Kazakhstan’s National Revenue Committee on the topic of "Transfer Pricing." During the discussions, the experiences of both countries regarding transfer pricing were reviewed, and it was agreed to strengthen cooperation between the relevant authorities in this area in the future.
