In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan produced 617.1 kg of sturgeon caviar, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistical Committee.
This figure represents an increase of 49% or 203.1 kg compared to the same period in 2023. In the first nine months of 2023, Azerbaijan produced 414 kg of sturgeon caviar.
Note that from January to August 2024, Azerbaijan exported 480 kg of sturgeon caviar valued at $553,780. During this period, the average export price for 1 kg of black caviar was 1,961 AZN.
Recall that in the first eight months of this year, Azerbaijan imported 3,630 kg of black caviar from China, valued at $1,089,900. The average import price for this product was 510 manat per kg.
