Azerbaijan imported 261,576 smartphones worth $82.8 million from January to April 2025, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of smartphones imported decreased by 27.8% (72,772 units), while the total value dropped by 11.6% or $10.8 million. In the first four months of 2024, 334,348 smartphones worth $93.7 million were brought into the country.
The average import price of one smartphone during the reporting period was 538.4 manats, up from 475.5 manats in the same period last year.
Most smartphones were imported from China (213,304 units), Vietnam (43,550 units), India (4,488 units), and South Korea (230 units). The average import prices were 500 manats from China, 703 from Vietnam, 790 from India, and 204 from South Korea.
During the same period, Azerbaijan exported 552 smartphones worth $114,500. The exports went mainly to Georgia (489 units) and the Czech Republic (63 units), with an average export price of 352.5 manats.
