Azerbaijan imports more than 450,000 smartphones this year -LIST

During January-May 2025, 458,642 smartphones worth USD 145,672,000 were imported to Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, this indicator is 12.8% or 67,324 units less in terms of quantity, and 1.7% or USD 2,556,900 less in terms of value. Thus, during the first 5 months of 2024, 525,966 smartphones worth USD 148,228,900 were imported to the country.

The average import price of one smartphone imported to the country during the reporting period was AZN 540. This indicator was AZN 479 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

During this period, smartphones were imported to the country mainly from China (368,701 units), Vietnam (83,432 units), India (6,275 units), and Korea (230 units). This product was imported from China for AZN 511, from Vietnam for AZN 643, from India for AZN 888, and from Korea for AZN 204.

It should be noted that during the reporting period, 662 smartphones worth USD 133 thousand were exported from Azerbaijan. The average price of this product, which was exported to Georgia (491 units) and the Czech Republic (171 units), was AZN 341.
