During January-September of 2024, 66,285 cars worth USD 1 billion 268 million 435 thousand were imported to Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
Compared to January-September 2023, the number of cars imported into the country decreased by 9% or 6,598 units, while their value increased by 5.1% or USD 62.2 million. In the corresponding period of 2023, 72,883 cars worth USD 1 billion 207 million 206 thousand were imported to Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the number of vehicles imported only with electric motors during the reporting period increased by 6% or 127 units compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 2245 cars.
