Azerbaijan imported nearly $61 million worth of Georgian products

Azerbaijan imported local products worth $60.9 million from Georgia in January-May of this year, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said, APA's local bureau reports.

Exports of Georgian products to Azerbaijan increased by 10.2% compared to the same period last year.

With a 3.2% share, Azerbaijan ranked eighth among the top ten export destinations for Georgia’s domestic products, following China, Russia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Togo, Armenia, and Switzerland.

In the first five months of the year, the total value of Georgia’s exports of domestic products increased by 66.1% year-on-year to $1.93 billion.

The top ten domestically produced goods exported by Georgia included petroleum and petroleum oils, precious metal ores and concentrates, ferroalloys, copper ores and concentrates, fresh grape wine, natural or artificial mineral and carbonated waters without added sugar, mineral and carbonated waters with added sugar, nitrogen fertilizers, alcoholic beverages, and gold in unprocessed, semi-processed, or powder form.
