During January–September 2025, Azerbaijan imported 951,461 smartphones worth 299 million 861 thousand US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, this figure decreased by 8.2% or 85.4 thousand units in quantity, while it increased by 3.7% or 10.6 million US dollars in value. Thus, during the first nine months of 2024, 1,036,868 smartphones worth 289 million 239.7 thousand dollars were imported into the country.
During the reporting period, the average import price of one smartphone brought into the country amounted to 536 manats. This indicator was 474 manats in the corresponding period of the previous year.
During this period, smartphones were mainly imported from China (755,807 units), Vietnam (183,880 units), India (11,013 units), Indonesia (495 units), and Korea (230 units). This product was imported from China at 510 manats, from Vietnam at 618 manats, from India at 976 manats, from Indonesia at 467 manats, and from Korea at 204 manats.
Note that during the reporting period, 1,116 smartphones worth 196.6 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan. The average price of this product exported to Georgia (491 units) and the Czech Republic (625 units) amounted to 299 manats.
