During January–October 2025, Azerbaijan imported 1,081,332 smartphones worth USD 344 million 206.6 thousand, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, this figure decreased by 7.3%, or 84.9 thousand units, in quantity, while increasing by 5.5%, or USD 17.9 million, in value. Thus, in the first 10 months of 2024, 1,166,285 smartphones worth USD 326 million 243.6 thousand were imported into the country.
During the reporting period, the average import price per smartphone amounted to 541 manats. This figure was 475.5 manats in the corresponding period of the previous year.
In this period, smartphones were mainly imported from China (863,707 units), Vietnam (205,315 units), India (11,439 units), Indonesia (606 units), and Korea (230 units). The import price of this product was 517 manats from China, 619 manats from Vietnam, 989 manats from India, 472 manats from Indonesia, and 204 manats from Korea.
Note that during the reporting period, 1,428 smartphones worth USD 256.2 thousand were exported from Azerbaijan. The average price of this product exported to Georgia (803 units) and the Czech Republic (625 units) was 305 manats.
