From January to August 2025, a total of 74,481 cars worth 1 billion 381 million 385 thousand US dollars were imported into Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
Compared to the January-August period of 2024, the number of cars imported into the country increased by 26.4%, and their value rose by 24.3%. In the corresponding period of 2024, Azerbaijan imported 58,939 cars worth 1 billion 110 million 905 thousand US dollars.
It should be noted that during the reporting period, the number of imported vehicles powered solely by electric engines amounted to 1,412 units, which is 28.4% less compared to the corresponding period last year.
