During January–November 2025, 762.3 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 807.4759 million were exported from Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports, citing calculations based on the report of the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of last year, the value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country increased by 28.6% or USD 179.5 million, and the volume increased by 25% or 152.2 thousand tons. In the first 11 months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 610 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 628 million.
Note that during the reporting period, the main exported fruits and vegetables were tomatoes worth USD 175.5 million (158.3 thousand tons), hazelnuts worth USD 150.5 million (17.4 thousand tons), persimmons worth USD 107.7 million (145.9 thousand tons), apples worth USD 65.9 million (93.9 thousand tons), pomegranates worth USD 31.4 million (32.1 thousand tons), and potatoes worth USD 28.3 million (71 thousand tons).
Recall that in January–November of the current year, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports was 3.45%, and in non-oil product exports, it was 24.34%.
