In January–October 2025, Azerbaijan exported 660.5 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 695 million 474.5 thousand US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing its calculations based on the report of the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country increased by 30%, or 160.5 million dollars, while the volume increased by 28.1%, or 144.8 thousand tons. In the first 10 months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 515.7 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 535 million US dollars.
Note that during the reporting period, the main exported fruit and vegetable products were tomatoes worth 159.8 million dollars (146.4 thousand tons), hazelnuts worth 124.5 million dollars (15.4 thousand tons), persimmons worth 66.9 million dollars (91.9 thousand tons), apples worth 57.4 million dollars (81.8 thousand tons), potatoes worth 28.2 million dollars (70.9 thousand tons), and pomegranates worth 20.5 million dollars (21.4 thousand tons).
Recall that in January–October of the current year, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports amounted to 3.21%, while their share in the export of non-oil products was 23.28%.
