In January-June of this year, trade transactions worth USD 3 billion 99 million 551 thousand took place between Azerbaijan and the CIS states, State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
According to information, this is 6.1% less in comparison with corresponding period of last year.
During the reporting period, trade operations with CIS countries made up 32.14% of the country's total trade turnover.
During this period, worth of Azerbaijan's trade turnover in descending order was USD 2 billion 168 million 21 thousand with Russia (0.2% more than 1 year ago), USD 249 million 823 thousand with Ukraine (1.6 times more), USD 233 million 626 thousand with Turkmenistan (51.9% less), USD 203 million 9 thousand with Belarus (19.4% more), USD 118 million 618 thousand with Kazakhstan (45.6% less), USD 90 million 986 thousand with Uzbekistan ( 13.7% more), USD 27 million 638 thousand with Kyrgyzstan (62.2% more), USD 4 million 894 thousand with Moldova (13.5% less), USD 2 million 936 thousand with Tajikistan (64.5% more).
In six months, the value of Azerbaijan's product exports to the CIS countries decreased by 3.3% and amounted to USD 799 million 669 thousand.
During this period, products worth USD 556 million 592 thousand were exported from Azerbaijan to Russia (10.4% less compared to the year), USD 105 million 215 thousand to Ukraine (2.6 times more), USD 48 million 6 thousand to Turkmenistan (3.4% more), USD 21 million 485 thousand to Belarus (39.5% more), USD 26 million 914 thousand to Kazakhstan (55.3% less), USD 13 million 964 thousand to Uzbekistan (40.5% less), USD 22 million 707 thousand to Kyrgyzstan, USD 2 million 276 thousand to Moldova (28.1% less) and USD 2 million 507 thousand (43.7% more) were exported to Tajikistan.
CIS states accounted for 6.2% of Azerbaijan’s total exports, including Russia 4.31%, Ukraine 0.82%, Turkmenistan 0.37%, Belarus 0.17%, Kazakhstan 0.21%, Uzbekistan 0.11%, Kyrgyzstan 0.18%, Moldova 0.02%, Tajikistan 0.02%.
In January-June, the value of product imports from the CIS countries to Azerbaijan decreased by 7.1% and amounted to USD 2 billion 299 million 889 thousand.
During this period, products worth USD 1 billion 611 million 429 thousand from Russia (4.4% more) were imported to Azerbaijan, USD 144 million 608 thousand from Ukraine (1.2 times more), USD 185 million 620 thousand from Turkmenistan (57.7% less), USD 181 million 524 thousand from Belarus (17.4% more), USD 91 million 704 thousand from Kazakhstan (42% less), USD 77 million 22 thousand from Uzbekistan (36.2% more), USD 4 million 901 thousand from Kyrgyzstan (2.3 times more), USD 2 million 618 thousand from Moldova (4.8% more) and USD 429 thousand from Tajikistan (10.7 times more) were imported to Azerbaijan.
CIS states accounted for 25.94% of the country's total imports, including Russia 18.17%, Ukraine 1.63%, Turkmenistan 2.09%, Belarus 2.05%, Kazakhstan 1.03%, Uzbekistan 0.87%, Kyrgyzstan 0.06%, Moldova 0.03%, Tajikistan 0.005%.
