Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli met with Yan Dong, Deputy Minister of Trade of China, during his visit to the country, APA-Economics reports.
The meeting emphasized that Azerbaijan-China relations are built on solid foundations based on mutual friendship and trust principles. It was noted that there are great opportunities to further expand the growing trade relations between the two countries.
The parties discussed the prospects for developing economic and trade relations. Bilateral discussions on goods and services were held within the framework of the World Trade Organization (WTO) accession process. As a result of the discussions, negotiations between Azerbaijan and China on goods and services within the framework of WTO membership were concluded, and an agreement was reached to sign a bilateral protocol.
