Representatives of the customs services of Azerbaijan and Georgia have met at the “Red Bridge” customs checkpoint of the Tovuz Customs Department, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
The delegations first visited the “Sadikhli” customs post of the Tovuz Customs Department and then inspected the area where the joint international automobile checkpoint “Silk Road – Abreshumis Gza” will be established. They also observed the customs operations at the “Red Bridge” checkpoint.
During the meeting held at the Trade Facilitation Center of the Tovuz Customs Department, participants highlighted the importance of the joint “Silk Road – Abreshumis Gza” automobile checkpoint in improving and simplifying customs procedures, efficiently managing the flow of goods and vehicles, and strengthening international and regional transit and economic cooperation.
Discussions were held on the progress made in implementing the project and the next steps to be taken.
