Türkiye’s participation in the “Caspian-Black Sea-Europe” Green Energy Corridor project, which is planned to be commissioned in stages starting from 2032, is one of the important areas of energy cooperation, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said during his speech at the 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the development of regional cooperation in the field of electricity is in line with the provisions of the Shusha Declaration, and the energy corridors being created are of strategic importance in terms of regional energy security.
Parviz Shahbazov stated that the participation of Turkish companies in Azerbaijan’s green energy projects is expanding. He emphasized that 42 power plants being built in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year.
The minister also stated that measurement and assessment work is being carried out with a Turkish company toward the establishment of a 204 MW wind power plant in Kalbajar.
Parviz Shahbazov also emphasized that Azerbaijan considers cooperation with Türkiye a strategic priority on the path toward a clean energy future.
