Over five years, the number of countries to which Azerbaijan exports gas has increased to 14, 10 of which are European countries, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at the II Azerbaijan–Türkiye Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“Through our joint efforts, we began gas transportation to Syria in August. This is the first time that Azerbaijani gas has been transported to the Middle East region via the territory of Türkiye,” Ali Asadov said.
“By the way, with an investment of USD 19 billion in Türkiye, SOCAR is the largest foreign investor in the brotherly country. Within the framework of these investments, the company has implemented many strategic projects in the fields of oil refining, petrochemicals, and natural gas. Today, SOCAR continues to expand its activities by investing in the economy of brotherly Türkiye through new projects,” the Prime Minister noted.
