Production of chemical industry products in Azerbaijan increased by more than 5% -TABLE

In Azerbaijan, during January–September of this year, products worth 1,780.8 million manats were produced in the fields of chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, and the manufacture of rubber and plastic products, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the production of pharmaceutical products increased by 96.8%, the production of rubber and plastic products increased by 9.7%, and the production of chemical industry products increased by 5.6%.

It is reported that during the reporting period, among chemical industry products, the production of polyethylene increased by 5.5%, ethylene production by 3.1%, urea production by 2.6%; among rubber and plastic products, the production of plastic bags and sacks other than polyethylene increased by 82.9%, the production of plastic rods, sticks, and profiles increased by 33.7%, and the production of plastic bottles, flasks, and similar items increased by 17.2%.
