A total of 182.4 million tons of oil has been produced from the Oil Rocks (Neft Dashlari) field to date (as of May 1, 2025), APA-Economics reports, citing information presented by SOCAR at the 31st Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, Caspian Oil and Gas.
A total of 14.3 billion cubic meters of associated gas has been produced from the field so far.
It was reported that 1,986 wells have been drilled at Oil Rocks to date, of which 409 are currently in operation. The world’s first offshore industrial oil production began there in 1949.
It was emphasized that 70% of SOCAR’s annual oil and gas production is transported from there to the shore.
