More than 151 bcm gas exported from Shah Deniz so far

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields until March 1, 2024, 432,1 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from here, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

During the reporting period, 218,5 bcm of gas was produced from ACG, and 213,6 bcm from Shah Deniz.

"During this period, 151,5 bcm of gas produced from Shah Deniz field was transported for export," the Ministry said.

Gas production has increased in January-February of this year. According to operational data for January-February 2024, 8,2 bcm of natural gas was produced in the Republic over two months. 2,1 bcm of gas was produced by ACG, 4,5 bcm by Shah Deniz, 0,3 bcm by Absheron, and 1,3 bcm by SOCAR. In comparison with the corresponding period of last year, the gas was produced with an increase of 240 million cubic meters.

"During this period, the sale of gas abroad was 4,1 bcm, which is the same in comparison with the corresponding period of last year. 2,1 bcm of gas was sold to Europe, 1,4 bcm to Türkiye, and 0,6 to Georgia. During this period, 0,8 bcm gas was transported to Türkiye with TANAP," the Ministry states.
