A total of 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas has been produced to date (as of May 1, 2025) within the framework of the early development phase of the Absheron gas-condensate field, APA-Economics reports, citing information presented by SOCAR at the 31st Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, Caspian Oil and Gas.
A total of 1.65 million tons of gas condensate has been produced from the Absheron field so far.
It was noted that the final investment decision on the full-scale development of the field is planned to be adopted in the third quarter of 2026. First gas from this phase is expected in 2029.
It was also reported that production under the field’s early development phase began in July 2023.
