The implementation of bp’s compression project at the Shah Deniz gas field has reached approximately 30%, bp's Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye, Giovanni Cristofoli told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that the company continues its extensive drilling program at the Shah Deniz field.
Cristofoli noted that work on the compression project is progressing according to schedule.
“We have made good progress on the compression project. The project is currently around 30% complete, and work is continuing toward commissioning the compression facility in 2029,” he said.
According to the bp official, the commissioning of the compression facility will help ensure sustainable production at the Shah Deniz field and extend its operational life.
“This project will give new life to the Shah Deniz gas field,” Cristofoli emphasized.
He added that bp continues to invest and carry out drilling activities aimed at maximizing the efficient development of the field’s reserves.
