The filling level of underground gas storage facilities in European Union countries has fallen below 31%, APA-Economics reports, citing Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE).
The occupancy rate of underground gas storage facilities in EU countries currently stands at approximately 30.59%, which is 16.58 percentage points lower than the five-year average.
It was reported that the total volume of gas currently stored in EU facilities is close to 33.8 billion cubic meters.
It should be noted that since October 13 of last year, during the heating season, European countries have withdrawn nearly 64 billion cubic meters of gas from storage.
Transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) began on December 31, 2020.
