Baku hosts 6th ministerial meeting on development and transmission of green energy

Within the framework of the the 10th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council Ministerial Meeting and 2nd Green Energy Advisory Council Ministerial Meeting, the 6th ministerial meeting was held in Baku for the purpose of implementing the “Agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary”, Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

At the event, Azerbaijan was represented by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, Georgia was represented by Deputy Prime Minister, Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Levan Davitashvili, Romania was represented by Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja, and Hungary was represented by Csaba Marosvar, Deputy State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The meeting was also attended by Kadri Simson, EU Commissioner for Energy Affairs of the European Union, Iva Petrova, Deputy Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, Baba Rzayev, President of AzerEnergy OJSC, transmission system operators of the countries, relevant institutions and representatives of CESI company.

At the end, the Protocol on the results of the meeting was signed.

It should be noted that the “Agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary” was signed on December 17, 2022 in Bucharest.
