The First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Elnur Aliyev met with Minister of Energy of Moldova Victor Parlicov, the ministry told APA-Economics.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova are developing, and the economic agenda is expanding.
Note that issues of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova were discussed, including the existing potential in the fields of energy, transport-logistics and agriculture. It was noted that the joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova is an effective platform for strengthening our cooperation and coordinating the efforts of business circles.
It was stated that the development of "green energy" is one of the main priorities in Azerbaijan. COP29, which will be held in Azerbaijan, will create important opportunities for conducting discussions in the direction of climate change agenda and energy efficiency with partner countries. In this regard, there are prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation with Moldova in the field of renewable energy.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
