Azerbaijan announces chemical industry production figures -TABLE

In Azerbaijan, products worth AZN 1,315.5 million were manufactured in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, and rubber and plastic products sectors in January-July of this year, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.

According to the data, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the production of pharmaceutical products increased by 53.9%, and the production of rubber and plastic products rose by 6.3%, while the production of chemical industry products decreased by 9.7%.

It was reported that during the reporting period, among chemical industry products, polyethylene production decreased by 25.1% and ethylene production by 25.4%, while among rubber and plastic products, the production of sacks and bags made of polyethylene increased by 9.4%, and the production of pipes, tubes, sleeves and hoses made of rigid plastics rose by 8.2%.
