"We really value a lot our cooperation with Azerbaijan," Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Christos Capodistrias told APA.

Answering a question about energy partnership, the diplomat noted that they consider Azerbaijan to be a reliable energy provider not only to Greece but also to all of Europe: "Especially in these critical times when Europe, as you know, is facing challenges in this sector because of the war in Ukraine. So we value very much the role of Azerbaijan and the fact that Azerbaijan has done so much and is doing so much to provide energy security to Europe and including also our country. A large part of the energy that we consume in Greece comes from right here, from Shahdeniz, the Caspian Sea. So we value this, it's very important for us. As I said, It's not only the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, it's also the ICGB, a new interconnector that connects Greece to Bulgaria, which of course is extremely important. And it provides gas to our Bulgarian friends and neighbors. It also has a huge potential to continue if we expand it and provide it to Romania and even Moldova and even further. So we have to work."

According to the Ambassador, Greece believes a lot in sharing the energy possibilities that exist and Azerbaijan is a very large part of this: "So we truly value our relationship with Azerbaijan."
