There are a lot of official appeals to us regarding creating conditions for voting in liberated areas, Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Central Election Commission, said at a press conference held today at the Central Election Commission (CEC), APA reports.
Mazahir Panahov stated that in the liberated territories, many people wanted to receive an absentee ballot: “But, unfortunately, these territories have been mined for 30 years. Azerbaijan is restoring these territories and clearing them of mines. Resettlement to Lachin, Zangilan, and Fizuli has already begun. Observers in these areas will also confirm that our polling stations there are better than in other regions.”
