It has been revealed when the process of verification and finalization of the results of the snap parliamentary elections will end, APA reports.
This has been outlined in the "Calendar Plan on basic activities and measures for preparation and conduct of the Early Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
The Central Election Commission must ensure the verification and finalization of the election results to the Milli Majlis at latest 20 days after the voting day. For the snap parliamentary elections, this period covers up to September 22.
After the protocol on the general results of the elections is drawn up, the Central Election Commission must submit the relevant documents to the Constitutional Court within 24 hours for the verification of election and voting results.
The Constitutional Court will then have 10 days (if the examination process requires, the period can be extended) to review and confirm the results of the elections to the Milli Majlis.
