Prisoners in Baku Detention Center participate in the presidential election

Three polling stations have been set up in Baku Detention Center №1 of the Penitentiary Service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice for prisoners to participate in the presidential election, APA reports.

Over 4,000 voters will vote in the detention center, where polling stations №38, 39, and 40 of electoral district №29 of Sabunchu district of Baku city are located. 1,362 prisoners will vote at polling station №38.

Note that voting in the presidential election is going on in Azerbaijan. Candidates for the presidency in the upcoming election include incumbent President Ilham Aliyev (New Azerbaijan Party), independent contenders Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev (National Front Party), Fazil Mustafa (Great Order Party), Elshad Musayev (Great Azerbaijan Party), and Gudrat Gasanguliyev (Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party).

Polling stations are open for voters from 08:00, and to close at 19:00.
