Observing the extraordinary presidential elections in Azerbaijan, the delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) watched the election process held in liberated territories of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Observers of OSCE ODIHR Larn Nyholm (Denmark) və Yevgeni Luginov (Russia) visited the district election commissions and stations in Aghdam, Fuzuli, Shusha and Khankandi cities.
The head of the delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Artur Gerasimov, and an employee of the OSCE PA, Tim Knoblau, also observed the election process in Shusha, Khankendi and other regions.
Note that voting in the presidential election is going on in Azerbaijan. Candidates for the presidency in the upcoming election include incumbent President Ilham Aliyev (New Azerbaijan Party), independent contenders Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev (National Front Party), Fazil Mustafa (Great Order Party), Elshad Musayev (Great Azerbaijan Party), and Gudrat Gasanguliyev (Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party).
Polling stations are open for voters from 08:00, and to close at 19:00.
