"Comprehensive work was conducted with voters in Azerbaijan. These works fully met the requirements of the Constitution and Election Code of Azerbaijan," Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Khudoyerzoda, who is participating in the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) Observer Group, said at a briefing on the results of the monitoring of snap presidential elections held in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

He noted that the role of the public organizations, political parties in this process is undeniable:

"The contucted observations showed that the preparatory works were carried out in accordance with the Election Code of Azerbaijan. We visited several polling stations in Baku city. There were not any violations of the law during the election that could affect the voting right of the voters."
