We witnessed the smooth and high-level conduct of the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Nur Jazlan bin Mohamed, Deputy Chairman of the Malaysian Senate, said at a press briefing, APA reports.
He noted that they were invited by the Milli Majlis (Parliament) to observe the parliamentary elections: "This is the second time I am participating in elections. I first participated in the presidential elections in February. Even then, I witnessed the elections at a high level, and I have the same impressions now.
Yesterday, we visited several polling stations without encountering any obstacles. We observed that people came to the polling stations and participated in the election process without any hindrance. We saw a democratic process being carried out at a peaceful level. As observers, we saw that international standards were applied," he added.
He also added that this will contribute to strengthening the relations between the two countries in the future.
